Our client is a dynamic consulting engineer specializing in the petrochemical sector.

They wish to appoint a Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for managing and directing the activities of the mechanical design section of their Johannesburg office.

This opportunity will be of interest to a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Engineering Technician who has a minimum of 8 years post graduate experience and who must be able to demonstrate excellent design experience and knowledge in the following areas:

• Pipeline design, flow rate calculations and hydraulic analysis of pipelines and delivery systems

• Design of pump stations, pump selection, gearbox, valve and motor sizing

• Preparation and issue of tender documentation

• Preparation of bid summaries and tender adjudication reports

• Construction site supervision

• Commercial and contract administration of projects & programmes

• Payment certification and commercial close out of projects.
