Our client is an established renewable energy company with wind and solar projects throughout South Africa and the African continent.

They wish to appoint an Electrical Engineer to be responsible for all project interface between solar PV farm connections and the various local utilities throughout south and sub-Saharan Africa.

This is an excellent career opportunity for a registered Professional Electrical Engineer who has a minimum of 5 years post graduate design experience in the renewable energy (PV) sector.

The primary responsibilities will be to ensure the seamless interface of grid connection issues between internal and external consultants and local utilities during the development and commissioning phases and for the overall design review of the system and system protocols for grid code compliance.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for providing technical and commercial overview on all electrical engineering aspects throughout the project life cycle from the bidding (and/or unsolicited bidding or marketing) stage through to construction and commissioning on utility scale projects.

Local and international travel will also form critical elements of this appointment
